Why Kenya  betting fans keep a close eye on Arsenal FC

Give it to Arsenal FC for being one of the most celebrated EPL clubs among Kenyans. Yes, the club has had its fair share of low moments that almost made supporters flee but from all indications, Mikel Arteta seems determined to redeem it to glory.

Well, so many may chide and mock Arsenal for not having won a title in recent times, But if memory serves us correctly, this club has won 13 league titles before.

In so many of the club’s appearances on the field this season, it went unbeaten in 10 matches but then it took Newcastle to end Arsenal’s unbeaten record in 11 previous matches.

Arsenal comes closer to winning the title then flops at last minute

Football fans will find it hilarious to mock Arsenal for the long time since it won the last title. You’ll hear Kenyans say “Arsenal hawajui kuinua kikombe”-Arsenal doesn’t know how to lift the league cup. But one thing about Arsenal is that the players begin the league so well then along the way seem to relax and just like that the clubs starts on a downward on the EPL table.  It gets confusing even for those experienced in betting as it loses matches at their peak and sometimes comes down crumbling like a house of cards so close to end of the season.

Some may not agree with this, for obvious club loyalty reasons but the truth remains  that Arsenal has the potential to win a title, even this season. You see the club listed on Jackpot games and you get this feeling that it will thrash the opponents and possibly get up the table.

In general, Arsenal comes across as a typical giant in the EPL who has taken way too long to straddle with authority. The players sometimes lose concentration at the critical hours and make costly blunders which seal their fate in the most surprising of ways.

Before you get down to betting for Arsenal this week or next, let’s pick out some of the mistakes the players keep making. Perhaps with this in mind, you get better placed  to know when to add it to your betslip.

What blunders keep Arsenal players away from winning the title?

Arsenal comes across as a strong team, organised and promising. But then each season fans are left heartbroken as the club fails to win the title. Simple mistakes made by players on the field end up being the blunders that completely disorient the team organisation.

Each season, players come psyched up to win but then in a matter of a few appearances the club starts conceding goals. Before we realise it, its an avalanche of goals that send the club down teh EPL Table.

Its definitely a mix of individual players and managerial blunders that cost the club. A lamentation by the team coach and manager confirms the concerns that everyone has about the club. In a recent comment, Arteta expressed concerns that “we are conceding too many simple goals”.

Clear Mistakes that open Arsenal to  conceding goals in 2023/2024 Season

Having finished at number two last season, fans would have expected the club to win this time round. But as the league progresses, it’s increasingly becoming unlikely that Arsenal will take the title.

Even if its not about winning the title, those who pick Arsenal into their best slip remain frustrated after losing simple games. Lets see the recent errors Arsenal has made recently.

1. Arsenal Versus Manchester United

While playing against Manchester United recently, Arsenal; [layers displayed a general lack of coordination. There seemed to miss calculated communication between Takehiro Tomiyasu and goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale from a ner kick. The two players aimed to clear the corner kick yielding a tame effort.

This simple blunder lend Lisandro Martinez a chance to punish Arsenal  and surely he did. Lisandro sent the ball to the net and just like that it was a goal.

2. Arsenal Against Manchester City

In a match against City, Jack Grealish unleashed a tackle pressure to Tomiyasu who then resorted to releasing the ball to Ramsdale but it was a weak pass. Kevin De Bruyne quickly took advantage to intercept this pass since it came with little power and scores for Man City.

A second goal sets in when Gabriel attempts to move the ball to Xhaka but his effort remains futile when Bernardo Silva opens up Arsenal defence. The ball reaches out to Grealish who fires a kick to the net.

3. Playing Against Bournemouth

From kick-off, Dango Ouattara occupies the ball from a long cross, settles the ball and delivers a low cross into the box. Both William Saliba and Gabriel miss the ball while Philip Billing stationed behind them gets the ball and seizes the opportunity.

A second goal also emerged from Thomas Partey’s failure to mark the opponent Marcos Senesi giving him a chance to score.

4. Against Southampton

While working hard to locate Oleksandr Zinchenko, Aaron Ramsdale puts out a pass which is intercepted by Carlos Alvarez just outside the penalty box. Alvarez seizes the opportunity and gives Southampton a clean goal.

A second goal also emerges from a corner kick when Duje Caleta-Car takes advantage of Zinchenko’s unawareness of his presence and runs behind him and with a header hits the net.

5. Against West Ham United

A rash move by Gabriel to tackle Lucas Paqueta sent him to the ground and won West Ham United a penalty kick.

6. Recent Match Against Newcastle United

This season, Arsenal lost their unbeaten record to Newcastle United in a 1-0 defeat. Arsenal had maintained its unbeaten record through games played against Chelsea, Tottenham, and Manchester City.

The team then faced Newcastle with lots of confidence in a closely contested game in all angles. However, in the 64th minute David Raya missed the ball in his attempt to pick out a cross, Anthony Gordon took advantage and hit the net.

Why Arsenal is Making so Many Mistakes

Some of these mistakes made by the team are due to lack of experience on one side. One could argue that the players haven’t fully settled in mentally and are bound to make more blunders due to pressure and poor tackling.

On the other hand, some managerial decisions have also cost the club loses. For instance, Arteta sets the team to play out of the back overlooking the risks involved and yet some opponents would go for long balls.

Arsenal does gain from taking most of these risks if the plan is executed correctly. Though the plan sometimes backfires, when it works out the Gunners get a wholesome reward.
